The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Man closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Man takes one to the chin there.
Man shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Leodes as he jumps to the side.
Man with a lazy takedown attempt
and Leodes counters with a left to the body.

Man gets the takedown into side control.
Man working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Leodes is looking to regain half guard here but Man keeps moving and retains side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
An elbow from Man crashes against the mat.

Man is trying to get an arm triangle but Leodes is defending well.
Leodes wants to get back to his feet but Man is dominant here and he's now got Leodes's back!

Man biding his time, looking for the opening.
Well, with Man on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Leodes is tapping out... Can he escape the position?

Man has the hooks in. Leodes is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Leodes wants to control his opponent's hands but Man gets his hands free.

Man misses with an elbow to the head.
Leodes covering up well and avoiding damage.
