The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Peterson darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Peterson looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Polinsky looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Polinsky might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Polinsky is trying to maintain the position but Peterson is very close to passing his half guard.
Polinsky is looking for a sweep. Peterson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Peterson shoots for a double leg takedown but Polinsky sprawls well. He's pushed Peterson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Polinsky is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Peterson is just riding it out for now. Polinsky eventually gives up the hold.

Peterson is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Polinsky pulls his head out easily.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Polinsky is keen to just control but Peterson is a slippery customer.
