The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malone tries to clinch but Libre is having none of it.
No luck for Libre with that takedown attempt.
Malone tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Libre paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Malone clinches with his opponent.
Libre has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Malone avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Malone gets through Libre's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Malone gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

It looks like Nacho Libre has been cut.

Malone breaks the clinch.
Nacho Libre seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Malone stuffs the takedown.
