Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Efraim Turban (ranked 1200 p4p, 1788 weight class) and Islam Petrov (ranked 161 p4p, 228 weight class). Turban's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Nadav Guedj - Golden Boy . Efraim Turban could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Islam Petrov's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turban shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Petrov eats them both and turns towards Turban to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Turban loads up on a big right hand but Petrov slips the punch.
Petrov is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

and Turban cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Petrov lands a glancing blow to the side of Turban's head.
Petrov ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Turban moves away.
Petrov fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Turban throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Petrov throws a body punch but Turban moves out of range.
Turban throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Petrov tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Turban was well out of range. Poor timing from Petrov.
That kick from Turban tenderised Petrov's leg. Petrov is trying to keep his angry face on.
Turban throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Petrov scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Petrov uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Turban.

Turban shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Turban clobbers Petrov with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Petrov misses with a takedown attempt - Turban sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Petrov has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Turban was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Petrov lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

and Turban counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Petrov throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Turban stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Efraim Turban is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

A close round but Islam Petrov will probably get the nod.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Turban struggles to land a body shot inside as Petrov controls his hands.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Petrov creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Turban breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

and Turban cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Petrov takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Petrov is rocked!
Petrov gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Turban gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
