PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Braden Moore (ranked 3164 p4p, 3796 weight class) and Fedor Petrov (ranked 428 p4p, 481 weight class). Petrov has chosen They want too see me fall as his entrance music. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Braden Moore!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 16 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Fedor Petrov!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Winston Howard and Darius Henderson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moore bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Petrov digs a good body shot into Moore's ribs.
Moore slips under a jab from Petrov.
Moore defending well as Petrov loads up on a big left hand.
Petrov throws a series of punches but Moore moves out of range.
Moore fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Petrov misses with a series of wild punches.
Petrov misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Moore.
Moore dives in for a single leg takedown but Petrov sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Petrov breaks from the clinch.
Petrov throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Moore slips a straight right by Petrov.
Moore appears to be looking for a big counter.
Moore gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Moore shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Petrov napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Petrov manages to get back to half guard.
Moore will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Petrov looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Petrov wants to get back to full guard but Moore has mounted him!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Moore throws a sloppy strike and Petrov uses the opportunity to reverse the position! A bit of a scramble here and Petrov has ended up in Moore's guard.
Moore seems keen to control Petrov's posture.
Petrov tries to stand but Moore is controlling from the bottom.

Petrov drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Petrov as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Moore screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Petrov! Nice submission victory there!

A determined Fedor Petrov didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
