The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marco fails with a takedown attempt.
A head kick from Blair lands but Marco takes it in his stride.

Marco scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Blair pushes Marco away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Marco gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Marco wants to lay and pray for a moment but Blair keeps working.
Blair is looking for a sweep.

Marco is working to tighten is grip on Blair's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Blair has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Marco is really squeezing tight and eventually Blair passes out! Marco breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
