Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joseph Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mohamad Najar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones comes to the ring accompanied by Alice in Chains - Them Bones. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Joseph Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mohamad Najar!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Taro Takaoka and Sosuke Kotani.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Najar tries to clinch but Jones is having none of it.
Jones throws a right hand that Najar ducks under and follows up with a left that Najar also avoids with ease.
Jones comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Jones stuffs the takedown.
Jones misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Jones avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Najar misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Najar dodges the punch combination from Jones.
Najar will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

It looks like Mohamad Najar has been cut.

Jones is taking a breather. Najar says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Najar is still in real trouble! Can Jones finish him?

Najar seems to have recovered his senses.
Najar has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jones is working away from the top position though.
Jones seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Najar tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jones swivels and escapes.

Jones ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Jones cracks Najar with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Jones takes a swing at Najar's ribcage but misses.

Najar darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Najar is trying to work for a kimura but Jones is defending well.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Najar is on top in guard.

Najar wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jones keeps working.
Najar prevents Jones from standing back up.
Jones tries to get to full guard but Najar has control of the leg.
Jones on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Jones tries to get out of the position.

Najar seems to be working for a kimura but Jones defends the submission attempt.

Najar is looking to advance position but Jones won't allow it.
Jones pushes Najar off looking to stand but Najar dives back in and keeps control.

Najar shoots in but no luck this time.
Najar wants to clinch up but Jones keeps it at a distance.

Najar looks for a takedown but Jones sprawls well.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Najar throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jones's waist but Jones gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Najar off to one side.

Najar shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jones pinned against the cage. Jones gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Najar feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Najar has hold of Jones's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Jones tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Najar cranks the arm and Jones screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Jones, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
