The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Smiff.
Good standup being displayed there by Steamer as he connects with a hook.

It looks like Loquacious Smiff has been cut.
Steamer stuffs the takedown attempt from Smiff. Smiff gets slowly back to his feet.
Steamer swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Smiff ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Smiff looks to land a right hand but Steamer moved out of range.
Steamer swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Steamer looks to throw the jab but Smiff is out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Smiff tries for a takedown but Steamer circles away easily
and Steamer counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Cleveland Steamer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Loquacious Smiff.
Steamer looks to land a left hand but Smiff moved out of range nicely.
Steamer closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Smiff! Steamer dives in looking to finish! Smiff is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
