Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kerr Sangster (ranked 4506 p4p, 3038 weight class) and JJ Kong (ranked 257 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Kerr Sangster!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, JJ Kong!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Colin Fotheringham and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sangster moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

Sangster fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kong, pushing him back against the cage.

Sangster's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Sangster drives through and clinches with Kong against the cage.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Sangster wants to pass the guard but Kong is keeping the position.

Kong manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Sangster manages to get himself to full guard.

Sangster is really struggling to control Kong but he's trying to hold on to the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kong stands and steps away. Sangster gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Sangster is pressed up against the cage. Kong has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Sangster down to the mat. Sangster avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Kong lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Sangster enables Kong to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Sangster manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Sangster wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Kong manages to pass to side control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kong is figuring out what he wants to do next.

That was a close second round but I would say that Kerr Sangster will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Kong bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Sangster stalks Kong and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Kong's face. Kong staggers backwards, shaken.
Kong is trying hard to land a takedown here. Sangster sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Kong walks forward, straight into a front kick from Sangster.

Kong jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Sangster walks away with a smile on his face. Kong gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Kong dives in for a single leg takedown but Sangster sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Kong fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sangster manages to avoid it.

Sangster sets himself, and Kong steps forward looking for the clinch! Sangster avoids it this time.

Kong closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Sangster's guard.

Sangster has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Kong is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Sangster keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Kong's efforts to push away.
Kong has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Sangster is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Sangster's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Sangster fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Sangster closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Sangster lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Kong.
Kong is trying to break the clinch but Sangster has him pressed against the cage.

Sangster gets control of Kong's arms and successfully pulls guard. Sangster will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Kong is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Sangster sees it coming and defends easily.
This has been an exciting period of action!

JJ Kong has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Kerr Sangster is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Kong thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Sangster's head.

And that's the end of the fight!
Kerr Sangster showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Sangster has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
