Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ren Lily (ranked 4419 p4p, 4692 weight class) and Soneca Juniior (ranked 162 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Soneca Juniior!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Daniel Franklin and Sandra Marshall.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Juniior shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lily sprawls well. Lily wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Juniior gets slowly back to his feet.
It looked like Lily wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Juniior circles away from the clinch attempt.

Juniior drives through and clinches with Lily against the cage.
Juniior taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Juniior changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Lily fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Lily fails with an attempt to clinch.

Juniior instigates a clinch.
Juniior blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ren Lily has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Soneca Juniior.
Lily misses with a double jab.

Juniior pushes Lily up against the cage in a clinch.
Lily throws a head punch that misses.

Lily drops down looking for an ankle pick but Juniior pulls his leg out and moves away.
Juniior tries a head kick but it misses.
Juniior fails with a takedown attempt.
Lily tries to close the distance and clinch up but Juniior swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Lily counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Lily.

Lily has a couple of punches blocked by Juniior.
Juniior fails to pull guard.

Juniior jumps into guard, dragging Lily to the mat.
Lily scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Lily trying to control the position from guard on top but Juniior is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Juniior is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Lily defends well.

Juniior is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Juniior looks winded!

Lily is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Lily makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Juniior really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lily. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Lily chips away with some ground and pound.

Juniior escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lily gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Lily is in close to Juniior's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Juniior is rocked!
Lily postures up, still in guard. A huge hammer fist lands that bounces Juniior's head off the mat! Juniior is out! He's out! Lily jumps to his feet and celebrates with his corner!
