Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dramane Nana (ranked 4486 p4p, 4751 weight class) and Aarav Phelps (ranked 0 p4p, 512 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Dirk Anderson and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nana lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Phelps circles away quickly and effectively.
Nana gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Nana looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Phelps makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Phelps throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Nana is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Phelps manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Nana keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Phelps has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Nana uses from the top position.
