Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Casper Harp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Kickass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joe Kickass is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Harp pushes Kickass up against the cage in a clinch.
Kickass looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Harp pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Harp tries to clinch up but Kickass circles away and keeps his distance.

and Kickass counters by moving into the clinch.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Harp dips to his left and cracks Kickass with an uppercut!

Harp closes the distance and clinches.
Harp creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Kickass's defenses.
Harp lands an elbow inside that Kickass shrugs off.
Kickass prevents Harp from breaking the clinch.
Harp is struggling to control the position.

Harp gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Kickass has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Harp avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Casper Harp has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe Kickass.

Harp breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Harp throws a series of strikes that have Kickass backpedaling.

Harp is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Kickass is looking to control Harp's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kickass avoid being mounted?

Harp is thwarting Kickass's attempts to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Harp wants to stand up but Kickass is controlling the position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Harp's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Harp doesn't manage to clinch there - Kickass circles away.
Kickass shoots for a double leg takedown but Harp sprawls well. He's pushed Kickass's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Kickass takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Harp tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kickass paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Harp cracks Kickass with a good jab.
Harp shoots in but no luck this time.

Harp is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

and Kickass counters with a nice double leg into side control. Harp won't be happy with that.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Joe Kickass comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
