The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Mauricio Rocha and Luis Engracia.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Simpson shoots in and bounces Frost off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Simpson (2) vs (0) Frost
Frost isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Simpson stacks Frost on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Simpson! Score +3 for passing guard: Simpson (5) vs (0) Frost
Simpson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Simpson tries for a kimura but Frost is defending well.
Frost is trying to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Simpson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Frost is looking to regain half guard here but Simpson keeps moving and retains side control.

Simpson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Frost keeps working.
Simpson working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Simpson is staying tight to Frost's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Frost tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Simpson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Frost tries to buck Simpson off but Simpson is having none of it.

Simpson content to stall in guard here.
Simpson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Frost escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Simpson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Simpson is sitting in close to Frost's body. Frost has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Simpson is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Simpson is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Frost.
