Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Henrique Scapin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Minotauro silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Minotauro silva is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Henrique Scapin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Minotauro silva!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Mauricio Rocha and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Scapin bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
silva is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

silva makes his way to full guard. A much better position for silva.
silva looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Scapin postures up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
silva is trying to stand up here but Scapin is controlling him well.
Scapin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for silva on the ground.

Scapin takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Scapin shoots for a double leg takedown but silva sprawls well. He's pushed Scapin's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Scapin wants to stand and escape but instead silva has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Scapin will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Scapin throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

silva should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
silva pushes down on Scapin's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Scapin is looking to control silva's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Scapin avoid being mounted?

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

silva is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Scapin defends it well.
Scapin looks like he's trying to stand up.

Scapin manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Scapin unloads a knee to the mid-section. silva lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
silva is looking to break free of the clinch but Scapin has double underhooks.
silva goes for a takedown attempt but Scapin pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Scapin throws a head kick that silva semi-blocks.

Scapin drops to a knee looking for a takedown but silva gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Scapin has silva pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Scapin pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending silva tumbling to the mat - Scapin dives into silva's guard.
silva wants to sweep but no luck.
silva is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Scapin is controlling him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
