Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tony Madmen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Norifumi Yamamoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Tony Madmen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Norifumi Yamamoto!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Hirohito Nitta and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Madmen scores a takedown into full mount!
Yamamoto tries to hold on but Madmen postures up.
Yamamoto bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Yamamoto won't allow Madmen to sweep him here.

Yamamoto drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Yamamoto jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Yamamoto drops back, looking for a kneebar! Madmen looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Madmen looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Madmen!

Yamamoto is trying to control Madmen's posture but Madmen avoids it.
Madmen gets to mount! Yamamoto was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

Yamamoto takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Madmen trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Yamamoto tries to lock up and control but Madmen gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Madmen is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Yamamoto is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Madmen is keen to just control but Yamamoto is a slippery customer.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Madmen throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Madmen seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Yamamoto does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Madmen wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Yamamoto has him pressed against the cage.

Madmen has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Yamamoto can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Madmen wants to stand and escape but Yamamoto is having none of it.
Madmen will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Madmen tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Yamamoto swivels and escapes.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Yamamoto has his foot on Madmen's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Madmen works his way back into a safe position though.

Tony Madmen overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Yamamoto bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Madmen's guard.

Yamamoto drops back looking for a leg! Madmen is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Madmen manages to kick Yamamoto off! Yamamoto jumps back into Madmen's guard.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Yamamoto has his takedown stuffed
and Madmen counters with a left and a right that stings Yamamoto.
Madmen throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Yamamoto's waist but Yamamoto gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Madmen off to one side.
