Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Fung Hao Ming (ranked 4017 p4p, 25070 weight class) and Mickey Wong (ranked 420 p4p, 629 weight class). Hao Ming comes to the cage accompanied by Long Arirang. Fung Hao Ming has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wong looks to throw the jab but Hao Ming is out of range.
Hao Ming has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Gold Samurai's Gym in the buildup to the fight.
Hao Ming scores with a nice strike.
Hao Ming uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Wong.

Hao Ming pushes Wong up against the cage in a clinch.
Wong tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Wong tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Hao Ming's elbow.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Wong throws out a counter right but Hao Ming avoids it with no problem.
Wong's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Hao Ming connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Wong scrambles back to his feet.

We've been informed that Wong has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Hao Ming tries to work over Wong's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Wong throws a punch but it's blocked by Hao Ming.
Hao Ming keeps control of Wong as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Hao Ming lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Wong or not.

Wong on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Wong is trying to break the clinch but Hao Ming is controlling him.

Hao Ming lands a nice knee to the body.
Hao Ming's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Wong can't find room to land a body shot as Hao Ming controls the action.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Fung Hao Ming dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Wong misses with a hook.
Hao Ming went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Hao Ming stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Wong looks to throw the jab but Hao Ming is out of range.

and Hao Ming counters with a left to the body.
Hao Ming throws out a powerful jab.
Wong gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Hao Ming gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Wong is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
