Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Fernando Miguel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Riggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Riggs has chosen Cypress Hill - (Rock) Superstar as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riggs shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Miguel as he jumps to the side.

Miguel changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Riggs looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Miguel tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Riggs tries to buck Miguel off but Miguel is having none of it.

Miguel is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Riggs has escaped the position, nice work there.
Riggs is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Miguel is controlling him well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Miguel tries to advance to mount but Riggs denies him.

Miguel has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Riggs can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Miguel drops his hands momentarily and Riggs needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Miguel just on the top of the head. Miguel drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Miguel - he's done!
