Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Mongrel (ranked 564 p4p, 445 weight class) and Rect Umm (ranked 83 p4p, 68 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, John Mongrel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 39 - 18 - 0, fighting out of London, Rect Umm!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Umm throws a jab when Mongrel was well out of range.

Umm instigates a clinch.
Umm makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Mongrel blocks a body shot from Umm.

Umm manages to break the clinch.
A slapping body kick lands there for Mongrel.
Mongrel on the wrong end of a nice jab.

It looks like John Mongrel has been cut.
Umm slips a jab and a cross from Mongrel.
Umm swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Umm scores with a hook.
Some wild striking there from Mongrel.
Umm punishes Mongrel's body with a nice straight punch.

Umm lands a really nice looking cross but Mongrel seems unphased.
Umm's coach down at London MMA Club was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Umm's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

John Mongrel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Umm needs to keep his hands up - Mongrel had a free shot at his head there.

It looks like Rect Umm has been cut.
Mongrel definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
A big left from Umm misses.
Umm lands with a shot to the body.
Mongrel on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Mongrel fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Umm manages to avoid it.

Umm has managed to clinch.
Mongrel is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

A frustrated look appears on Mongrel's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Mongrel's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Mongrel looks to land a combination but Umm avoids it well.
Umm let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Umm scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Umm throws out a powerful jab.
Good shot there by Mongrel.
Umm tries to clinch up but Mongrel circles away and keeps his distance.

Umm with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Mongrel misses with a series of wild punches.
Mongrel keeps the fight on the outside.
Umm throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
As Umm looks to move away, Mongrel throws a big counter combo but Umm just gets out of the way.
Mongrel swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Umm counters with a stiff right hand.
The fighters circling - Mongrel throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Umm tries to clinch but Mongrel is having none of it.

and Umm cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
A telegraphed right hand from Umm misses the target.
Umm takes a swing at Mongrel's ribcage but misses.

That kick from Umm tenderised Mongrel's leg. Mongrel is trying to keep his angry face on.
Mongrel misses with a looping left.
Mongrel closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

John Mongrel's cut is getting worse.
Mongrel takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Umm lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Mongrel is rocked!
Mongrel jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Umm loads up on a big right hand but Mongrel slips the punch.
Umm's corner calls for a 1-2. Umm obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Oh Mongrel is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Umm moves forwards but Mongrel connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Umm cracks Mongrel with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Mongrel tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Umm pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Mongrel is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rect Umm!
After winning the bout, Rect Umm thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
