PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Bondarenko (ranked 25161 p4p, 25314 weight class) and Jay Wall (ranked 683 p4p, 716 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jon Bondarenko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jay Wall!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yuuki Gou and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wall moves into range and clinches up with Bondarenko.
Bondarenko goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Wall unleashes a big counter combination but Bondarenko bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Wall swats away the attempt to clinch by Bondarenko.
Wall fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Wall tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Bondarenko defends well and Wall ends up having to push Bondarenko into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

Bondarenko feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jon Bondarenko.
I think Bondarenko has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
