Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Legend Debonaire (ranked 858 p4p, 2455 weight class) and Dougie McFistface (ranked 114 p4p, 312 weight class). McFistface has chosen Tiptoe Through The Tulips as his entrance music. The key to victory for Legend Debonaire has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Legend Debonaire!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dougie McFistface!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Damien Edna and Donatello Bradman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McFistface on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Debonaire with a hook.
McFistface lands a high kick!
Legend Debonaire seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McFistface is looking to clinch but Debonaire is avoiding it.
Debonaire throws a push kick but McFistface slaps the foot to one side.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! McFistface crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Debonaire - the referee stops the clock and McFistface gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Debonaire. McFistface manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
McFistface lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Debonaire backs up against the cage.

McFistface tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Debonaire paws at him with a jab and circles away.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The fighters circle momentarily. Debonaire darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Debonaire lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

and McFistface counters with a nice low kick that buckles Debonaire's knee momentarily.
McFistface throws a quick inside leg kick.
Debonaire thuds a left hand into McFistface's body.
Debonaire has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by McFistface.
Debonaire lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

McFistface forces Debonaire back against the cage and clinches.
Debonaire swings away with an uppercut that misses.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

McFistface escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
McFistface takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Debonaire changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
McFistface wants to clinch but Debonaire slips to the side
and Debonaire counters with a low kick, right behind McFistface 's knee.

McFistface manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Debonaire on his heels. He'll look to pass Debonaire's guard now, I'm sure.

McFistface got a little sloppy there for a moment and Debonaire has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, McFistface has managed to get both his arms back between Debonaire's legs - danger averted.

McFistface must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
McFistface is looking to work some ground and pound but Debonaire has wrist control.

McFistface has gone for a leg lock! Debonaire slips out almost immediately though and dives into McFistface's guard.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Debonaire wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by McFistface, who protects the arm well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Debonaire is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, McFistface has managed to free his arm - good work.
Debonaire wants to take a breather but McFistface is having none of it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Debonaire wants to free his trapped foot but McFistface is holding on for dear life with his legs.

You can see the frustration on McFistface's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
We've been hearing good reports from Debonaire's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Debonaire, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
