Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burrell shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Tyler sprawls well. Tyler wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Burrell gets slowly back to his feet.
Tyler fails to land with a series of punches.
Tyler misses with a head kick.
Tyler missing with a left hand there. Burrell was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Tyler throws a jab when Burrell was well out of range.
And Burrell tries to counter it with a takedown but Tyler pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Tyler is looking to slow Burrell down with leg kicks.
Burrell misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tyler will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Tyler pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Tyler throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Burrell takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Tyler dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Burrell blocks the body kick.
Burrell shoots in but no luck this time.
Jackson Tyler has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Washington Burrell.
Burrell misses with a takedown attempt - Tyler sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

A head kick lands from Tyler that sends Burrell to the canvas. Burrell tries to scramble back to his feet but Tyler brings him back down into side control.

It looks like Washington Burrell has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Tyler wants to stand but Burrell has him controlled and pulls him back into his guard.

Burrell working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tyler doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tyler manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Tyler avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Burrell is looking for a triangle but Tyler pushes his legs off easily.
Burrell lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Burrell in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Burrell is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Tyler!
Tyler knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Burrell on the ground.

Burrell throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Tyler because Burrell loaded up on that one.
Burrell throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Burrell has control of Tyler's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Tyler regains control of the situation pretty easily.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Burrell shoots in looking for a takedown but Tyler manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Burrell's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Tyler explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Burrell throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tyler's waist but Tyler gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Burrell off to one side.
Burrell is breathing heavily.
Tyler stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Tyler wants it to stay on the feet.

and Tyler counters with a flying knee that drops Burrell! Tyler dives in and finishes the fight with a flurry of strikes from the mount!
