Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Robert Cure (ranked 4755 p4p, 5043 weight class) and Joao Perez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cure comes to the cage accompanied by The Cure- End of the World. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Joao Perez was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Joao Perez!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perez misses with a lunging right hand
and Cure counters with a nice uppercut.
Cure thuds a left hand into Perez's body.
Perez takes one to the side of the head.

Perez shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Cure manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Cure is looking to stand back up but Perez counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Cure.

Perez not doing much here.
Perez works his way into full mount!

That's one minute gone in the round.
BOOM! Perez connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Perez tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Cure tries to buck Perez off so he can stand up but Perez has got his back now - this could be big trouble! He's slapped on a rear naked choke that looks really tight! Cure falls backwards, slamming Perez to the mat but Perez holds on tight! Cure is forced to tap and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Joao Perez!
