The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mfer uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Mihaljevic.

Mihaljevic takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Mfer goes for a double leg but Mihaljevic avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the ropes as Mihaljevic continues to drive forward.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Mfer.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Mihaljevic pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Mfer shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Mfer is looking to stall here but Mihaljevic recovers full guard.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Hunt Mfer overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Mfer wants to take a breather but Mihaljevic is having none of it.
