Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Aiko San!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Corin David!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Russell Pearce and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

San clinches up against the ropes.
San lands a hook that snaps the head of David backwards.
David blocks a punch to the side of the head.
David blocks a body shot from San.
David is trying to pull guard but San has him pressed against the ropes.
David throws an elbow but it's blocked.
A head punch on the inside from San fails to land.

David decides to pull guard.
David controlling the position.
David looking to hit a scissor sweep but San is one step ahead there.
David is still trying to improve position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
David working a defensive guard here.
David looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

That's one minute gone in the round.
San wants to control from the top but David keeps moving.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
David is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

San on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if San tries to get out of the position.
David uses his free foot to push down on San's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for San.
David with a couple of short strikes.
David breaks from San's wrist control and lands an elbow.

David is going oldschool here, as he tries to force San to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so San shrugs it off.
David throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
David thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
San is trying to get to the ropes to help him get back to his feet.
David throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
David sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
David is in the full mount, landing strikes.

It looks like Aiko San has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

San is rocked!
David loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have San scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from David land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. David stands and salutes the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Corin David!
After winning the bout, Corin David thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
