Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rich Voss!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Niklas Aho!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Glass and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Voss throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Aho takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Aho bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Aho drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Voss defends it well.
Aho lands a nice looking body kick.
Aho looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Voss connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Aho's hands.
Voss shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Aho defends it nicely.
Rich Voss seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Aho lands a nice looking body kick.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Voss clobbers Aho with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Voss closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Aho has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.
Aho gets full guard.
Aho controlling the position.

Aho is looking for a triangle but Voss pushes his legs off easily.

Voss thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Aho wants to sweep here but Voss controlling him for the moment.

Aho throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Aho looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Voss drops back looking for a leg! Aho is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Aho manages to kick Voss off! Voss jumps back into Aho's guard.
Voss looking to pass the guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Voss's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Aho has momentary wrist control but Voss slips an elbow through the middle.
Voss trying to control but Aho is working from the bottom.
Voss is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Aho is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Voss has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Aho to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Voss is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Aho pulls down on the head and he's put Voss to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Niklas Aho!
