The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hide shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Irvi pinned against the cage. Irvi gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Hide showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Irvi.
Holli Irvi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Irvi lands with a nice body punch.
Hide will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
No luck for Hide with that takedown attempt.
Holli Irvi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mitsu Hide.

Irvi seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hide does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Mitsu Hide's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
