Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Iron Mike (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ramon Rivas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Iron Mike!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ramon Rivas!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Frank Dennis and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rivas feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Rivas wants to control from the top but Mike keeps moving.

Mike pushes Rivas off and scrambles back to his feet.

Rivas has closed the distance and engaged Mike in a clinch.

Mike uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rivas.

Rivas fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mike, pushing him back against the cage.

Mike throws a shot from downtown. Rivas moves away and avoids it.

Rivas drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Mike is looking for a sweep.

Rivas tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rivas stands up and beckons Mike to his feet.
Mike throws a right and a left that Rivas avoids nicely.

and Rivas counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Rivas.
Rivas is working Mike over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Mike is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Rivas is controlling him.
Rivas is in close to Mike's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Mike throws a shot from downtown. Rivas moves away and avoids it.
Mike throws out a loose jab but Rivas uses good head movement to avoid it.

Mike kicks off Rivas and gets to his feet.
Mike throws a left and a right that both miss

and Rivas counters by clinching up.
Mike prevents the takedown attempt.
Mike swings wildly with an uppercut but Rivas uses good head movement to avoid it.
Rivas tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Mike smiles and moves away.

Rivas shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Rivas showed some decent athleticism there.
Mike is trying to stand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rivas decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Rivas stalling away here and it's allowed Mike to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Rivas moves into range and clinches up with Mike.
Rivas has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Mike is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

A nice right hand lands inside from Mike.

Rivas tightens his grip and picks Mike up, before dumping him to the ground. Mike manages to land in guard.

Rivas throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Mike works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Mike has his feet on Rivas's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Mike misses with a straight right.
Rivas shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mike pinned against the cage. Mike gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Mike stalks Rivas and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Rivas's face. Rivas staggers backwards, shaken.
Mike misses with a few strikes there.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Rivas shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mike pinned against the cage. Mike gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Iron Mike has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ramon Rivas.
Mike swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Horrible takedown by Rivas or perhaps it was just good defense by Mike which made him look bad.
Rivas tries for a takedown but Mike sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Mike lands with a nice combination. Rivas backs away looking to recover.
Rivas moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Mike scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Mike tries to break the clinch but Rivas is controlling the position.
Rivas lands a shoulder strike.
Mike wants to break free but Rivas has control.
Mike wants to break the clinch but can't.

Rivas breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Rivas changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mike tries to avoid it but Rivas manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mike to the ground. Mike escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Rivas has Mike up against the cage in a clinch.
Mike using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Rivas has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Mike wants to break free but Rivas has control.
Mike takes an elbow to the forehead.
Mike has had enough of the clinch but Rivas keeps him there for the moment.
Rivas keeps control of Mike as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Rivas prevents Mike from breaking the clinch.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Rivas tries to pull guard but Mike won't allow it.
Rivas has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Mike avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Ramon Rivas showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Mike closes the distance looking to clinch

and Rivas counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Rivas postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Iron Mike seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Rivas counters with a shoot takedown. Mike fights it but they end up in guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Mike is arching his back trying to strike from the bottom but Rivas turns him over and now has his back.

Mike is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Rivas is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Mike. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.

Mike is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Rivas gets his way!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Rivas is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Mike knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Mike for a finish.

Mike manages to get to his feet, escaping the difficult position.
Rivas shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mike as he jumps to the side.
Mike stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Mike throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rivas.
Mike swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Iron Mike has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Ramon Rivas is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Mike takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Ramon Rivas comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Rivas winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
