Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kyo Kamizaki (ranked 4651 p4p, 5201 weight class) and Kyoji Ahane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shigeki Fujiwara and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kamizaki looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Kamizaki is looking for a kimura but Ahane is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Kamizaki to get the leverage.

Ahane is defending against the submission attempts here by Kamizaki.

Kamizaki wants to work for an arm triangle but Ahane is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ahane is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Kamizaki tries to lock up and control but Ahane gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Kamizaki on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kamizaki tries to get out of the position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Ahane gets caught napping as Kamizaki dives in and scores a takedown. Ahane manages to retain guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kamizaki is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Ahane is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Ahane has escaped and now he's on top!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Ahane.
Kamizaki is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Ahane wants to stand but Kamizaki has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Kyoji Ahane showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Kamizaki closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Kamizaki has gone for a leg lock! Ahane slips out almost immediately though and dives into Kamizaki's guard.


Ahane content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Kamizaki has locked up a guillotine! Kamizaki's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Ahane is holding on here and Kamizaki must be using up a lot of energy. Ahane has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Kamizaki gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
