The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from McAlroy. Sands does a little dance to reset his feet.
Danga de danga de dang - Sands scores with a four punch combination!
McAlroy is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Sands.
Sands is clearly trying to counter these attacks from McAlroy with a body shot.
Sands moves in looking to clinch but McAlroy pushes him off.
McAlroy misses the shot to the body.
McAlroy has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Sands throws a wild hook but McAlroy just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Sands gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - McAlroy raises his hands in celebration and walks away!
