The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rayne throws a head kick that misses.
Rayne shoots for a takedown but Shazar saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Rayne moves into the clinch successfully.
Shazar tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Rayne smiles and moves away.
Rayne closes the distance and clinches up with Shazar, looking for a takedown. Rayne pushes Shazar against the cage but Shazar circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Rayne fails with the takedown.
Chavito Shazar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carlos Rayne.
Rayne pulls out of a head kick attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A nice inside leg kick there by Rayne. That's going to slow Shazar down.
Carlos Rayne seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rayne circles away from the clinch attempt
