The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moorer tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Moorer misses with a two punch combination.

Moorer bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Moorer wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rameerez keeps working.
Rameerez regains half guard.
Rameerez makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Rameerez.

Rameerez looking for a guillotine here but Moorer defends easily.
Moorer has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Rameerez looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Moorer passes into side control.
Rameerez tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Rameerez is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Moorer's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Moorer trying to control from half guard but Rameerez is working away.
Moorer takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Rameerez is looking to improve his position.
Moorer is keen to just control but Rameerez is a slippery customer.
Rameerez tries to get to full guard but Moorer has control of the leg.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Moorer throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Rameerez circles away from the clinch attempt.
Rameerez avoids the head kick by Moorer.
Moorer throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Moorer tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Moorer misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Rameerez.
Moorer tries a head kick but it misses.

Rameerez drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Moorer is breathing heavily.
Rameerez tries to free his leg and advance position but Moorer is retaining full guard.

Rameerez drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Rameerez jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Rameerez slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Rameerez tries to move into full mount but can't pass Moorer's legs.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Rameerez has hold of Moorer's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Moorer seems comfortable defending it but Rameerez has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Moorer is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Moorer is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Rameerez couldn't care less - he's delighted!
