Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jim Lahey (ranked 3173 p4p, 5987 weight class) and Maks Teller (ranked 345 p4p, 554 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jim Lahey !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Maks Teller!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Joseph Jones and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lahey shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Teller as he jumps to the side.

Lahey fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Teller sprawls well initially but Lahey persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Lahey wants to work for an arm triangle but Teller is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Lahey stalling.
Teller wants to improve his position but Lahey is controlling well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Teller pushes Lahey off looking to stand but Lahey dives back in and keeps control.
Lahey not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Teller is looking to escape.

Lahey throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Teller keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Lahey thows a huge punch but Teller dodges it nicely.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Teller has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lahey is working away from the top position though.
Lahey is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Lahey seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Teller for as long as he can get away with.
Teller wants to improve his position but Lahey is controlling well.
Well, if Lahey is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Teller gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Lahey to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Teller wants to stand and escape but Lahey is having none of it.

Lahey is pushing down on Teller's leg trying to pass to half guard. Teller is fighting to maintain full guard but Lahey has managed to sneak the leg through.
Lahey is controlling the pace.

Teller pushes Lahey off looking to stand but Lahey dives back in and keeps control.
Teller is looking to control Lahey 's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Teller avoid being mounted?

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Lahey takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Teller throws a hook to the side of Lahey 's head but Lahey sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Lahey .
Teller darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Lahey closes this distance looking for a takedown but Teller circles away.

Lahey swats away the attempt to clinch by Teller.
Teller looks to throw the jab but Lahey is out of range.
Lahey shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Teller as he avoids it easily.
A cross from Teller lands.

and Teller counters with a stiff right hand.
We've been informed that Teller has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Teller smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Lahey fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Teller avoids it really well and circles away.
Teller cracks Lahey with an open hand slap.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Maks Teller will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Lahey takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Teller shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lahey pinned against the cage. Lahey gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Lahey moves out of range as Teller strikes.

Lahey closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Lahey content to control rather than advance.

Lahey is working for a submission of some sort.
Teller trying to control but Lahey postures up.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Teller can do anything to dispel that myth.
Lahey 's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Teller lands with a nice combination. Lahey backs away looking to recover.

Lahey shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Teller stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Teller wants it to stay on the feet.

Lahey goes for a double leg but Teller avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Teller continues to drive forward.

Teller has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Teller's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Teller manages to break the clinch.
Lahey looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Teller keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Teller misses with a looping left.
Jim Lahey is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Teller closes the distance and pushes Lahey back into the cage.
Teller wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Lahey is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Teller tries to break the clinch but Lahey is controlling the position.
Lahey has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Teller avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Teller has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Teller looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Teller pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Teller throws a leg kick but Lahey sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Lahey fails with the takedown.
Teller is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Teller slaps away a takedown attempt from Lahey , before circling back to the center of the mat.
A nice side step and Teller releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
A left and a right from Teller both land. Nice combination.
Oh Lahey is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Crack! Teller connects with the perfect overhand right and Lahey falls face first to the canvas. Timbeeeeeeeer! Beautiful knockout for Teller!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Maks Teller!
A victorious Maks Teller thanked his army of followers in his post fight interview, telling people to make sure they follow him on Twitter.
In defeat, Jim Lahey stepped up to the mic, saying 'The shit clock's ticking. Time to hit the LC randers'.
