Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Island Steve!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tonio Conti!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Bart Greer and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steve misses with a straight left.
Steve misses with a combination
enabling Conti to counter with a crisp jab.
Steve pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Steve misses with a body shot.
Conti slips under a jab from Steve.
Steve throws out a loose jab but Conti uses good head movement to avoid it.
Conti looks to score with a jab to the body but Steve is just out of range.
Steve swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Conti lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Steve swings widly with a right hand
and Conti counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Conti scores with a jab to the jaw.
Conti looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Steve misses with a jab, cross combination.
Steve throws a lazy uppercut
and Conti counters with a straight right hand.
It looks like Island Steve has been cut.
Steve drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Steve slips a jab and a cross from Conti.
Steve throwing a counter right hand but Conti manages to avoid it.
Island Steve seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Conti throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Steve.
Conti staying out of range there.
Conti lands a really nice looking cross but Steve seems unphased.
Steve misses with an uppercut
and Conti counters with a lovely shot to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Steve just misses with a punch to the body.
Conti slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Steve swinging wildly here.
Steve misses with a two punch combination.
Steve moves away from the strike by Conti.
Steve looks to throw the jab but Conti is out of range.
Steve takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Steve is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Conti moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tonio Conti!
Tonio Conti made sure to give a little speech post fight, saying 'I came in unprepared, still had the cut that stopped my last fight, and I still kicked this mans ass!'.
