The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

It looks like Eli Vieira has been cut.
Vieira changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Smith tries to avoid it but Vieira manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Smith to the ground. Smith escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

and Vieira decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Smith's guard.
Smith wants to get back to his feet but Vieira is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Vieira accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Eli Vieira got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'
