Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Barbosa (ranked 247 p4p, 1794 weight class) and Sebastion Lynar (ranked 32 p4p, 219 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lynar needs to keep his hands up - Barbosa had a free shot at his head there.
Barbosa misses with a body shot.
Lynar shoots in for a takedown but Barbosa shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Lynar connects with the punch.
Barbosa really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Barbosa digs a right hand into Lynar's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Lynar's gas tank.

Lynar gets control of Barbosa's arms and successfully pulls guard. Lynar will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Lynar escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Barbosa gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Lynar has his foot on Barbosa's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Barbosa works his way back into a safe position though.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Lynar isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Barbosa stacks Lynar on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Barbosa!
Lynar seems a little lost for a moment, as Barbosa dominates the positioning.
Barbosa is looking to take a break and control but Lynar is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Lynar tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Barbosa wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
You can see the frustration on Lynar's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Barbosa wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Lynar, who protects the arm well.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Barbosa goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Lynar has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Barbosa but great work by Lynar.

That was a close round but I would say that Daniel Barbosa will probably get the nod.

A very excited looking Sebastion Lynar rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
The defeated Daniel Barbosa had this to say: 'Congrats to White Jr, I fought hard to be champion and will keep fighting hard to get back and get my title. Back to the gym, I’d like to fight again soon... '.
