Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tempest Frank!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Wilson Fisk!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Sandra Marshall and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frank rushes Fisk and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Frank blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Frank scores with a hook to the body.
A head punch on the inside from Fisk fails to land.
Fisk struggles to land a body shot inside as Frank controls his hands.
Frank with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Fisk breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Frank bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Frank walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Frank misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Fisk.
Frank connects with a good right hand that stumbles Fisk. Fisk circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Fisk thuds a left hand into Frank's body.
Fisk misses with an uppercut. Frank saw that one coming.
Fisk throws an off balance right hand
enabling Frank to counter with a crisp jab.
Fisk misses with a left hand
and Frank connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Frank jabs Fisk to the body, keeping him at a distance.
A big right from Fisk misses.
Fisk rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Frank cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Frank drops Fisk with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Fisk looks back up at him and smiles so Frank waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Fisk is rocked!
Fisk scores with a shot to the body.
Fisk is still on wobbly legs! Can Frank finish him?
Frank fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Fisk swings widly with a right hand
and Frank makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Fisk looks winded!
Frank lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Fisk up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Frank from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Fisk's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Tempest Frank!
