Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adeboye Temidare (ranked 5968 p4p, 2415 weight class) and Charlie Potthast (ranked 642 p4p, 332 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Potthast ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Temidare moves away.
Potthast throws a shot to the body.
Potthast cracks Temidare with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Potthast misses with a hook
and Temidare counters with a nice leg kick.
Temidare definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Temidare misses with the combination.
Temidare moves in looking to clinch but Potthast pushes him off.
Potthast misses with a straight right.
Temidare lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Temidare scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Temidare ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Potthast throws a big shot that misses.

Temidare connects with an inside leg kick.

Temidare's corner calls for a 1-2. Temidare obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Temidare lands with an uppercut that bounces Potthast off the cage and back into range.
Potthast throws a series of punches but Temidare moves out of range.

Temidare drives through and clinches with Potthast against the cage.

Potthast pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Temidare. Potthast shrugs it off though.
Temidare pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Potthast back to the cage. Temidare follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Potthast has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The fighters circling - Potthast throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Potthast wants to get back to striking at distance but Temidare won't allow it.
The referee is keeping an eye on Temidare - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Potthast is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Temidare.

Temidare throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

and Potthast counters with a nice uppercut.
Potthast throws a lazy right hand but Temidare sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Temidare is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Potthast tries to bum rush Temidare with a series of wild strikes but Temidare uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Potthast might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Temidare throws a right hand that Potthast ducks under and follows up with a left that Potthast also avoids with ease.
Temidare is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.

Temidare has managed to clinch.
Potthast is looking to control Temidare's arms but Temidare gets an underhook and turns him. Now Potthast has his back to the cage.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Temidare lands a hook that snaps the head of Potthast backwards.

Temidare throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Potthast is trying to push Temidare away but Temidare has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Temidare lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Potthast backwards.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Potthast is trapped in a tight thai clinch here. Temidare pulls him left and then right before unleashing a vicious knee to the head. Oh damn - Potthast is out cold! That's some serious business! What a knockout!
