Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Boom Pow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and rez chrome (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). rez chrome has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Boom Pow's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Boom Pow!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, rez chrome!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Hirohito Nitta.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pow fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
chrome should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

chrome shoots in and bounces Pow off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Pow had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. chrome is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Pow Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take chrome's back instead.
Pow doesn't have the hooks in and chrome manages to turn into his guard.
Pow has a closed guard, preventing chrome from standing up.

Pow has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but chrome can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Pow is on top in guard.

Pow is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Pow thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Pow wants to pass the guard but chrome is keeping the position.
chrome tries to land a sweep but no joy.

chrome is looking for a triangle but Pow pushes his legs off easily.
chrome wants to stand and escape but Pow is having none of it.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Pow drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Pow jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

chrome avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Pow is working an open guard so chrome takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

chrome drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Pow manages to get back to half guard.
chrome seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Pow is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of chrome's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take chrome's back!

chrome manages to reverse the position and now he's in Pow's guard. Nice work there by chrome.
chrome working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
chrome has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Pow is proving hard to escape from.
chrome must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

chrome wants to get up but he can't break Pow's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Pow working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. chrome doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. chrome manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Pow is looking to sinch up a triangle. chrome throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Pow's body to avoid the submission. Pow has instead reached around chrome's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Pow arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
