Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rav Kapur (ranked 257 p4p, 1837 weight class) and King Turn (ranked 46 p4p, 265 weight class). Rav Kapur has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 14 - 0, fighting out of London, King Turn !
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kapur shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Turn napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Kapur really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
The referee asks Kapur politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Kapur prefers to stall for the moment though.
You can see the frustration on Turn 's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Kapur is trying to get an arm triangle but Turn is defending well.
Turn sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Kapur shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Turn is trying to defend but Kapur finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Kapur is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Turn not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Turn throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Kapur to regain full guard.

Kapur is refusing to be controlled, as Turn sits in half guard.
Kapur is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

That was a close round but I would say that Rav Kapur will probably get the nod.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Kapur is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Still in half guard, Kapur seems content to control.
Kapur's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Turn is defending against the submission attempts here by Kapur.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Kapur in particular looking to stall.

Kapur is looking to stall here but Turn recovers full guard.

Kapur shoots in for a takedown but Turn shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Turn tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kapur manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Kapur shoots for a double leg takedown but Turn sprawls well. He's pushed Kapur's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Kapur closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kapur lands in his opponent's guard.

Turn is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Turn throws a strike but Kapur rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

That's time! Kapur's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!

Kapur throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Turn on the side of the head.
Kapur keeps the fight on the outside.

Kapur shoots in and bounces Turn off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Turn wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Kapur manages to pass to side control.

Kapur is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Turn can do to turn this around?

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Kapur misses with a takedown attempt - Turn sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Turn let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Kapur uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Turn .

Kapur decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Kapur seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
King Turn has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Kapur wants to advance to full mount but Turn doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Kapur postures up.
Turn striking off his back but it's not causing Kapur any problems.
Kapur is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Kapur won't allow Turn to sweep him here.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Kapur is stalling in the full guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Turn trying to control the position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Turn swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Turn takes one to the side of the head.
Horrible takedown attempt by Turn or perhaps it was just good defense by Kapur, which made it look bad.
Kapur connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kapur.

Kapur changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Turn looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Kapur remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

And that's the end of the fight!
Rav Kapur showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Kapur has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
