Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Kerouac (ranked 2948 p4p, 2285 weight class) and Hermann Oestergaard (ranked 381 p4p, 292 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jack Kerouac!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hermann Oestergaard!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Wesley Smith and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kerouac displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Oestergaard.
Kerouac has taken the fight to the clinch.
Kerouac digs a right hand underneath Oestergaard's ribcage. Oestergaard let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Kerouac lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Kerouac misses with the head strike.
Kerouac prevents the takedown attempt.
Kerouac doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kerouac throws a punch but it's blocked by Oestergaard.

Oestergaard drags the fight down to the ground.
Oestergaard looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Kerouac postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Oestergaard lands some strikes from the bottom.
Kerouac wants to control from the top but Oestergaard keeps moving.
Kerouac trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Oestergaard manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
Oestergaard prevents Kerouac from getting back to his feet.

Kerouac wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Kerouac knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Oestergaard on the ground.
The fighters are working up against the cage. Kerouac manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Kerouac swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Kerouac scores with a nice hook to the head.
Kerouac throws a punch but it's blocked by Oestergaard.
Oestergaard drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Oestergaard fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Oestergaard tries to pull guard but Kerouac forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Kerouac lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Kerouac swings wildly with an uppercut but Oestergaard uses good head movement to avoid it.
Oestergaard tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kerouac smiles and moves away.
Oestergaard pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Oestergaard tries for a takedown but Kerouac circles away easily
and Kerouac counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Oestergaard has his takedown stuffed
and Oestergaard takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Kerouac scores with a nice right hand.
Oestergaard shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kerouac sprawls well. Kerouac wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Oestergaard gets slowly back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Oestergaard tries for a takedown but Kerouac sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
A little feinted left hand from Kerouac on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Oestergaard changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kerouac tries to avoid it but Oestergaard manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kerouac to the ground. Kerouac escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Kerouac buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Oestergaard checks a low kick from Kerouac.
Kerouac lands a left and a right that send Oestergaard crashing to the mat, dazed. Kerouac thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Oestergaard is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Oestergaard is still on wobbly legs! Can Kerouac finish him?
Are you kidding me?! Kerouac ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent Oestergaard clean off his feet! Someone make me a GIF - that's knockout of the night for sure!

In his post fight interview, Jack Kerouac started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
