Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, No Way!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Maverick Syndal!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Way stuffs the takedown attempt from Syndal. Syndal gets slowly back to his feet.
Syndal closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Way fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Syndal tries to counter with a clinch but Way shakes him off and moves away.
Way ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Syndal moves away.
Syndal shoots in and drives through. Way sprawls well.

Syndal has hold of Way's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Way manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Syndal drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Way manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Syndal has Way in his guard.

Way has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
