Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joao Cajo Branca (ranked 609 p4p, 486 weight class) and Apollo Aarnio (ranked 101 p4p, 79 weight class). Branca kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is original score medley. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aarnio slips a straight right by Branca.
A looping hook to the body misses from Branca. Aarnio does a little dance to reset his feet.
A jab from Aarnio finds it's way through Branca's defenses.

Joao Cajo Branca seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Aarnio chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Branca can pounce on him.

Branca fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Aarnio has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Branca dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Aarnio. That did some damage!

Aarnio's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Joao Cajo Branca's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Aarnio is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

and Aarnio counters with a crisp right that sends Branca to the canvas! Aarnio follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
