We've been hearing good reports from Boaz's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Sakuraba stops Boaz from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.

Boaz looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Sakuraba sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.

Sakuraba has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Boaz is working away from the top position though.

Boaz looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Boaz is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Sakuraba defends it well.

And that's the end of the fight!
Boaz takes the fight on points by 11 to 2.
