Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, John Urlich!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Andre Silva!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, James Atkins and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Urlich throws a head kick but Silva moves out of range.
Urlich tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Urlich drives through and clinches with Silva against the cage.
Urlich goes for a takedown in the clinch but Silva prevents it.
Urlich is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Silva to keep the fight standing.
Silva jumps guard but Urlich stands there with Silva around his waist. Silva gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Urlich is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Urlich tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Silva smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Urlich. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Urlich darts in trying to clinch

and Silva counters with a takedown into side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Silva advances to mount.
Silva working away from the top, dropping strikes.
Silva looking to control and managing it successfully.
Urlich tries to lock up and control but Silva gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Silva controlling from mount.

Silva quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Silva but it's paid off an Urlich is forced to tap! Nice work by Silva.
