And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ace Of Spades!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Bart Greer and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Of Spades shoots in looking for a takedown but Messi manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Of Spades's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Of Spades pushes Messi up against the cage in a clinch.
Messi manages to break the clinch.
Of Spades clinches up with Messi and pushes him back against the cage.
Messi breaks the clinch.
Of Spades misses with an attempted mid kick.
Of Spades shoots for a double leg takedown but Messi sprawls well. He's pushed Of Spades's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Messi throws a big counter combination but Of Spades scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Of Spades rushes Messi and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Messi is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Of Spades tries to circle away but Messi has him pinned against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Of Spades lands a body punch.
Of Spades escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Of Spades is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Messi.

Messi wants to clinch but Of Spades slips to the side
and Of Spades decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Messi's guard.
Of Spades is standing up over Messi. Messi looks to escape but Of Spades dives into side control.
Of Spades stands up and beckons Messi to his feet.
Messi closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Of Spades gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Messi.
Of Spades successfully pulls guard.

Of Spades avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Of Spades manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Messi manages to get himself to full guard.
Of Spades throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Of Spades thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Of Spades slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Of Spades passes into half guard.

Of Spades not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Messi knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Of Spades on the ground.

It looks like Of Spades might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Of Spades is pressing down on Messi's thigh, looking to free his foot. Messi is holding on for now.
Messi wants to control but Of Spades is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Of Spades throwing shots but Messi is blocking nicely.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Of Spades works his way into side control.
Messi is breathing heavily.
Of Spades is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Messi wants to get back to his feet but Of Spades is dominant here and he's now got Messi's back!
Of Spades is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Messi has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Of Spades has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Messi taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Of Spades doesn't care though - he's delighted!
