Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jackson Davis (ranked 3473 p4p, 6710 weight class) and Emilio Sanchez (ranked 194 p4p, 310 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jackson Davis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Emilio Sanchez!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Robert Twigg and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis throws a series of strikes that have Sanchez backpedaling.
Davis connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Sanchez takes one on the button.
Sanchez looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Davis looks to land a right hand but Sanchez moved out of range.
Sanchez with the counter takedown but Davis avoids it easily.
Davis misses with a left hand

and Sanchez counters with a takedown into side control.
Davis is looking to regain half guard here but Sanchez keeps moving and retains side control.
Davis wants to control but Sanchez postures up.
Davis tries to get back to half guard but can't.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Davis sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Davis gets back to full guard.
Sanchez working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Davis's head.
Sanchez is looking to work some ground and pound but Davis has wrist control.
Sanchez stands up over Davis, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Sanchez throwing strikes from guard but Davis blocks nicely.
Davis tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Sanchez must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Sanchez lands a couple of elbows.
Davis is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Sanchez works his way to full guard. Good work.
Sanchez wants to sweep but no luck.
Sanchez can't keep his opponent in guard - Davis advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Sanchez manages to get to full guard.
Sanchez looking for a sweep. Not yet Sanchez, not yet.
Davis looking to sit in guard and control but Sanchez gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Sanchez cracks Davis with a solid left hand.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Sanchez distracts Davis with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Davis manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Sanchez manages to get himself to full guard.

Davis trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Davis trying to control but Sanchez is working from the bottom.
Sanchez is pulling down on Davis's head. It's preventing any offense from Davis, at least for the moment.
Sanchez bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Davis's guard.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Davis is looking for a triangle but Sanchez pushes his legs off easily.
Sanchez lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Davis is trying to control the position but Sanchez postures up.

Davis seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
Davis bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sanchez's guard.

Sanchez pulls Davis in close to his closed guard and prevents Davis from doing any damage or advancing position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Davis throws an elbow that misses. Sanchez uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Davis's guard. Nice move by Sanchez!

Sanchez makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Sanchez's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
Sanchez lands a couple of elbows.

Davis has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sanchez can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Sanchez's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sanchez works over Davis with some ground and pound from guard.
Davis wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Sanchez lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Emilio Sanchez dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Sanchez with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Davis to score with a decent uppercut.
Jackson Davis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Davis lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Sanchez throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Davis tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Sanchez is in Davis's guard.
Sanchez keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Davis's head.
Sanchez chips away with some ground and pound.
Sanchez stands and throws Davis's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Davis is working to avoid the ground and pound but Sanchez connects with a decent elbow.
Davis takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Emilio Sanchez has got the better of the ground game so far.
Davis is looking to reverse the position.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Davis is rocked!
Sanchez winds up and cracks Davis with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Oh Davis is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sanchez lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Davis quite badly. Davis pulls Sanchez in close trying to recover. Sanchez postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Davis on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Davis doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Emilio Sanchez!
