Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Stalin Thai (ranked 4250 p4p, 4643 weight class) and The Kid Laroi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, The Kid Laroi!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Santiago Holmes and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thai keeps the fight on the outside.
Thai shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Laroi defends it nicely.
Laroi shoots in for a double leg but Thai sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Laroi shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Thai as he jumps to the side.
Thai tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Laroi manages to circle out of the way.
Laroi defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Thai.
Laroi closes the distance and lands a one-two.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Thai.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Stalin Thai. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Laroi just misses with a punch to the body.

Laroi tries to close the distance and clinch up but Thai swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Laroi shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Thai is trying to defend but Laroi finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Laroi is looking to take a break and control but Thai is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Laroi wants to free his trapped foot but Thai is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Laroi is trying to control the action in half guard but Thai is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Thai is trying to maintain the position but Laroi is very close to passing his half guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Laroi tries to pass the half guard into mount. Thai knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Thai fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Thai stuffs the takedown attempt from Laroi. Laroi gets slowly back to his feet.
Laroi works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Thai moves into the clinch.
Laroi tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Laroi wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Thai has him pressed against the cage.

Laroi gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Thai.
Laroi is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Laroi digs a right hand underneath Thai's ribcage. Thai let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Laroi is trying to pull guard but Thai turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Laroi has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Thai after a bit of a struggle.
Thai is trying to drag Laroi to the mat but Laroi just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Thai tries to land knees in the clinch but Laroi avoids the damage to the body.
Laroi tries to pull guard but Thai won't allow it.

Thai wants to take the fight to the mat but Laroi manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
A right handed body shot lands from Thai.
Laroi wants to break the clinch but can't.
Thai lands an elbow inside.
Thai stops a takedown attempt from Laroi.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but The Kid Laroi will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Thai has a takedown stuffed.
Thai throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Laroi's waist but Laroi gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Thai off to one side.
Laroi changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Thai looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Thai tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
Laroi is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Thai has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Thai avoids the strikes from Laroi.
Laroi is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.
A lull in the action here.

Laroi is riding his opponent, not letting Thai buck him off.

Will Laroi go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
Laroi is punishing Thai with some ground and pound.
Laroi tries to keep control of the position but Thai is staying busy.
Thai might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Laroi has good solid back control here.
Laroi lands a shot to the body.

Thai is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

Laroi is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Thai has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Laroi has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Thai taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Laroi doesn't care though - he's delighted!
