Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Matheus Silva and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Braud moves into the clinch successfully.
Braud goes for a takedown in the clinch but Smotes prevents it.
Still in the clinch, Braud scores with a nice short uppercut.
Braud is trying to drag Smotes to the mat but Smotes just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Braud keeps control of Smotes as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Smotes tries to score a body lock takedown but Braud shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Smotes fails to pull guard.
Braud drops down looking for an ankle pick but Smotes pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yve Braud. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Smotes throws a body kick that misses.
Smotes tries a head kick but it misses.
Braud closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
