PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Boss Yonic (ranked 5638 p4p, 3290 weight class) and Walter Wiener (ranked 96 p4p, 59 weight class). Walter Wiener told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yonic lands with a shot to the body.
Yonic throws a hook but Wiener blocks it.
Wiener slips under a jab from Yonic.

Wiener throws a fast counter high kick but Yonic manages to duck under it in time.

Wiener is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Yonic wants to control but Wiener is keeping him busy.

Yonic has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Yonic lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Wiener has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Wiener and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Yonic shoots in looking for a takedown. Wiener tries to sprawl out of it but Yonic keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Wiener manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

That was a close second round but I would say that Boss Yonic will probably get the nod.

Wiener displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Yonic throws out the jab.

Yonic feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
