The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dalton throws a lazy head kick

and Perez holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Perez letting Dalton take a breather here.
Dalton fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Perez pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Perez moves out of range of the body kick.

Perez closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Dalton is looking to regain half guard here but Perez keeps moving and retains side control.
Dalton sneaks back into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dalton is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dalton is trying to maintain the position but Perez is very close to passing his half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Perez lands a nice short elbow.

Dalton pulls Perez in close to prevent any damage.
Dalton manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Perez manages to get himself to full guard.

Dalton drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Dalton as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Perez screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Dalton! Nice submission victory there!
